Six Months of Planning
The Training Regimen
Race Week Rituals
The week of a championship race follows a strict protocol. Monday and Tuesday are for track walk and setup refinement. Wednesday is the first practice session gathering data, not chasing lap times. Thursday is qualifying simulation. Friday is rest and mental preparation. “By Saturday’s qualifying session, I’ve done the race in my head so many times that it almost feels routine,” Vasquez says. “Almost.”
The Technology Edge
Modern e-moto race bikes are rolling data centers. Telemetry systems monitor battery temperature, motor output, suspension movement, and tire pressure in real-time. The pit wall can make adjustments to power delivery and regen braking between sessions based on the data. “We’re constantly looking for marginal gains,” says her crew chief. “A 1% improvement in battery efficiency can be the difference between first and second place.”
Championship racing is a team sport. And the preparation is relentless.
